Monday, May 29, 2006 Received my IATA-UFTAA Travel & Tourism Foundation Diploma exam results over the weekend.I had obtained Distinctions for both the Airfare & Ticketing as well as the General Knowledge papers! WOOHOO!! What a relief. Am really glad my efforts paid off. Lately, I caught quite a few movies. Most recently, MI:3 (Maggie Q looks hot and so is the Lamborghini!), the Da Vinci Code (which was pretty disappointing. The book is nicer than the movie itself) and X-Men - The Last Stand (I found the storyline pretty weak but on the whole, still a much better movie than Da Vinci Code). I realised I haven't blog much of late or meet up with some of my friends (and I feel guilty about that!). Somehow I feel the weekends seem to be getting shorter & shorter. Feel kind of shortchanged. Even time spent with Michael seems to be somewhat limited...hehee. It's only Monday and I'm already looking forward to the weekend. The Great Singapore Sale is on and so are the school holidays. The monkeys are out and so are the kiasu-ugly "shoppers" alike! Tuesday, May 16, 2006 I'm starting to get restless at work.Already thinking of moving on to get a job that is more enriching & rewarding. Though I'm not underpaid for my job now (for the stress level and amount of work that I do), rather I feel 'underpaid' given my qualifications & working experience. As compared to my previous job, my current position doesn't gives me that much stress & I can usually go back no more later than 15mins after the official knock-off time. My colleagues are a nice bunch of people too and if possible I might have wanted to stay on this job for as long as I could. But it's starting to get real boring & mundane. I need something to excite me. Perhaps, many people would like to be in my shoes...getting paid & doing nothing spectacular for most of the working days. I don't like to feel useless or putting whatever talent I have to waste, hehee. I have tried to 'revolutionize' the whole team but as what the company likes to say "budget constraint, HR policy, etc"...nothing much can be done. Though much could also be attributed to my leadership style. My staff doesn't fear me (though they do respect me to a certain extend) & me being the good old nice me find it hard to be tough with them at times. Though I only remember two or three times where I showed my impatience & almost flared up at a few of them. Well, still I guess I have to probably wait till next year before I start looking out for new opportunities. Tuesday, May 09, 2006 I'm back! It has been such a long time since I last update my blog & I'm guilty of it.Anyway, I just got back from Bangkok yesterday. Had an amazing & wonderful time there....shop, eat, club, shop, eat, shop! Had so much fun with my boyfriend & six other of his friends. 3 of the other guys went there solely to golf.....and the golf there is so cheap! And even have a 36 holes one!! One of them played until have an abrasion and got to walk like a duck...haha. And on Sat night, 3 of us went to this cool clubbing place called The Bed Supperclub, which is one of the hippest & hottest nightspot in BKK. Woah, the decor & music is nice.....but the bummer thing is, the club closes at 1.30am! Anyhow, when we stepped into the club, it was almost like stepping into a western country, cuz the crowd comprises of 75% ang-mohs, 15% locals & another 10% of other Asian nationalities. ![]()
