Thursday, November 30, 2006 Some of my trip photos taken using my N73. Me at Amsterdam (finally I was able to see how a "coffe shop" looks like...well, at least from the outside since the shops were closed)  Disneyland Paris!  Me & my twin sis in Biarritz, France.  Me at Lourdes. The place where St. Bernadette had an apparition of Mary.  Me with my mom & sis in Paris, near Lourve museum.  Me in the city of Bordeaux, France. Their so-called Orchard Road. And this is where I bought my LV bag :)  Last but not least, my niece, Genevieve!  Isn't she cute!!! Monday, November 20, 2006 Bonjour!I'm back from France. A tiring but on the whole, a pretty good trip. Spent about 8hours in Amsterdam (Holland), 4 days in Paris, 5 days in Bordeaux & about 5hrs in San Sebastian (Spain). Weather was cold & especially so at Disneyland Paris and in Lourdes but it sure is a clear respite to the hazy Singapore. Amsterdam was pretty cold as we reached there at about 5am in the morning and had to catch the transit flight out to Bordeaux only at 3pm. Luckily the people there speaks English, so getting around was quite easy. Paris was however, I felt, overstated. Didn't feel any magic there. Shopping sucks, food sucks and luckily we have my sister who helped to 'navigate' the Metro system. But still it was an experience! On the whole, we had McDonald's on almost all our daily meals (i.e. either for lunch or dinner) cuz food is expensive and not easy to find food outlets / restaurants. Didn't buy much except for a few souvenirs items for myself & mainly chocolates for gifts. But my most lavish buy was an LV bag (the latest collection of it's monogram speedy bag in off-white). Cost me about S$800 but think it's still cheaper than in Singapore. Also managed to see my niece. Aiyo..she's so cutttee!!! She's a happy baby...smiling & 'talking' to you...well at least after she has taken her nap & milk feed, hehee. Anyway, I'll upload some photos taken during the trip once I have the time. Saturday, November 04, 2006 I'm going on a 10 days trip to France next Mon!Kind of looking forward & kind of not looking forward, hehee. Looking forward cuz I have never been to Europe & it's always good to go on a holiday. Not looking forward cuz it means I will be broke by a few Ks & also I will miss my dearie (haha) Anyhow, it'd be good to see my little niece. She's so cute in the photos! November hasn't started smoothly for me @ work. One of our new laptops (less than 3mths) has been stolen! Kept in the cupboard under lock & key also will kenna stolen. We suspected there's a syndicate operating here as there have been a few cases of customer's stolen laptop in our premises already but we didn't expect that the thief will "attack" us! Either that or it could be internal job. Anyhow, I hope the trip will help me relax because after that, it's going to be a crazy time for me. Xmas promo coming up & I'm also the organising chairman for our company's mid-scale year-end party & I'm also in the committee of our whole company & sister's company Christmas Lunch event. |
