Attended my 1st class today - a part-time Travel & Tourism Diploma course.

It has been about 5 years since my Degree days that I've last studied or touch any lecture notes. And now that I'm in my late twenties (argh!), working full-time & studying part-time is not like before anymore (boohoo...)

Before coming for this course, I was pretty skeptical about it partly due to the low minimum entry requirement & cuz it's run by a private institution. But boy, was I wrong. After looking through the notes & programme outline today, I know I will learn ALOT in this 8-months course.

And this time, I think I've over-estimated my confident self. I thought this would just be an easy one. After discovering that there might be some topics on airfare calculations (I hate Maths, for the record) & studying of map/geography for tour planning (everyone knows that I have no sense of directions or whatsoever), my confidence level dropped. What's more I reckon 50% of my classmates work in the travel agencies...so they have a better headstart than me.

And why am I taking up this course? Well....1st, I love to travel & have been wanting to study something related to it (since I've saved up enough $$$ to pay for this course myself, why not?). 2nd, to upgrade myself to learn new things & skills - you can never stop learning...the only time you stop, is when you die. Last but not least, hopefully this can come in handy for future employment in the travel / tourism line.

So...since I have made this decision, me being me...I'm gonna give it my best shot & hopefully, to be able to get Distinctions for this course!

Wish me well, people! *grin*
