It has been one of the poignant weekends for me....(don't get me wrong though, I had a good weekend, catching up on sleep & spending sometime with my bf).

Went to see my Grandma for a short while today before going off to visit an old friend (Auntie Mary) of my Grandma's @ St. Luke Hospital.

Auntie Mary had a fall at home few weeks back. She has been staying alone by herself for a very long time & it must be hard on her to have no one around when the fall happened. My Grandma's brother who had passed away due to a fall at home. No one knew...until a few days later when his friends called the police to his home to check if he's alright. But he was already dead.....

Can't help but ponder - will I grow old alone too? It's a scary thought. Which is why I would rather have a companion then to be alone. Or perhaps I'm thinking too much, too unnecessary.

Also today, I finally managed to watch Motorcylce Diaries on DVD. It was a good movie with a great storyline. If I have the time & $$...I would also love to embark on a road trip to do voluntary work, to explore & enrich myself further in life's experiences.

Yesterday, watched the Live8 concerts on Starhub & put my name in the www.live8live.com list in support of the Live8 concert to end poverty in Africa. Not sure how that will help to highlight to the G8 summit leaders about helping Africa, but at least that's the best I can do within my means here.

Hmm...looking at my past posts, seems to be on quite a depressing note. Ok, I promised the next blog will be more positive & light-hearted.

Till then, cheers!
