It is so hard to find a good employee nowadays. Especially in the service sector.

In my 4 month's of work in the company, overseeing the whole Customer Service team....a total of 5 staff have already resigned. And that's like an average of one per month.

No. 1 left cuz she has found a new job. And I'm glad for her cuz it has a better pay & career opportunity for growth. She was with the company for a year+.

No. 2 left cuz she couldn't commit to the job & of poor conduct (we would have ask her to leave, even if she did not tender 1st). Comes to work for one day, then on MC for the next two. She left after working for less than 3mths.

No. 3 left cuz she has just given birth to a newborn baby son & wanted to be a stay-home mom. She was with the company for about 5yrs.

No.4 left after working for 3 days cuz of family issues.

No. 5 left cuz she claimed the working environment does not suit her. This is classic. She SMSed me at 1.51am on a Saturday morning to inform me that she is not coming to work anymore. She has only joined the company 2 weeks ago.

The latest one came as a surprised to me as she was a fast learner & I know she can do her job well. But I guess there must be some further underlying reasons. My supervisors told me it could be cause she was "spreading some rumours" about fellow colleagues & was possibly feeling guilty when probed by them.

I really don't know but I find it silly. Well, perhaps because some of these girls are young. Average between 19 - 23 years old. And their pay is so low, there's no motivation to perform well.

I'm really sick of going through the whole process again from shortlisting candidates, to interviewing them, to training them.
