Saturday, December 31, 2005 My last post for the Year 2005.Celebrating the new year used to be a fun & exciting event but as one gets older, the fanfare seems to die down alot. To me, it's just another public holiday which I look forward to. And of late, end of the year tends to evoke a sense of nostalagia & lots of sentiments in me. Since 2 years back, somehow I dread receiving the new year & saying goodbye to the former. Cuz it means I'm getting older & looking back, yet again, I felt like I have yet to achieve anything in life. No doubt, I'm thankful for having a job, for staying alive, for the abundance blessings....but somehow I feel life is not complete until some rite of passage has been done. Looking back this year, the only major thing I did was changing my job & taking up a part-time course. Other than that, it's the same year in, year out. My wish for 2006? Besides good health to myself & my loved ones......there is one other wish that only God knows. Wishing everyone a healthy & blessed 2006! |
