Thursday, February 15, 2007 Celebrated my first Valentine's Day with Michael on 14th Feb 2007.It is also our first after our ROM. At first, I thought it's going to be just another day cuz on Tues, which is the day before, Michael had quite a bad running nose...so I presumed there'd only be a low-key celebration. Eat dinner, then go home. I was even complaining to him (teasingly of course) ...how come he used to be romantic & give me surprises during our "courting" days but now like so complacent, blahblahblah...haha. And cuz we somehow said before don't buy Vday gifts cuz we want to save $ for the wedding & house. And since he usually buys me gift on his overseas business trips, I thought ok lor...think Vday no gift also nervermind (but of course, deep down girls being girls like being surprised & pampered mah). On V-day itself...at about 10.30am, my recept called me & said there's something for me. I thought CNY goodies or some documents for me (but deep down, I had a feeling...don't tell me my dear ordered flowers for me issit???). And to my surprise, when I walked out to the recept, I saw a HUGE bouquet of flowers (12 stalks of gerberas with forget-me-not) & a 14" teddy bear! I was so touched I swear I almost had tears coming out man! My recept was smiling away, saying so nice my hubby....so envious, etc. It was really unexpected cuz Michael was quite nonchalant about the whole thing before V-day...almost to the point of being "bo-chup". I guess he still has that romantic bit in him, haha. But to think few days back I told him don't buy me flowers for V-day cuz it's expensive & so common. If want to buy flowers, buy for other special occasions!   Anyhow, I bought him a Braun Buffel wallet and we had dinner at Millenia Walk. And I guess my hubby had the last laugh cuz he kept "suaning" me...."see, still dare to complain my lack of romanticism the day before, blahblahblah". Well, I think maybe because this is our 1st V-day...so abit special lor. Mic also said this year have flowers, next year don't have already ah cuz by then will be "lao fu lao qi" liao..... Still it was a memorable day for me :) |
